"Electronic Soundscapes", David Berkowitz: A collaboration with Arte Arechi

ARTE ARECHI & OFFMARKET Gallery present Electronic Soundscapes and are delighted to invite you to the Australian premiere of Italian artist David Berkovitz.

 

Drawing on the legacy of Spatialism, Berkovitz transforms the act of cutting into a contemporary visual language. Slits and fractures become more than gestures — they open the surface, creating dynamic exchanges between light and shadow, matter and void.

 

Across three interrelated series — Divaricazioni del Bianco, del Nero, and dell’Oro — meticulously hand-cut compositions unfold into geometric rhythms that oscillate between precision and movement, inviting viewers into a heightened spatial and emotional experience.

 

David Berkovitz' selected exhibitions include Flussi, Parma, with curator Chiara Canali, Hyperbaton-Agostino art Gallery, Milan curated by Gianluca Marziani and a residency at Palazzo Donà delle Rose in Venice. He has also designed installations for composer Neuf Voix, translating musical structures into spatial architecture. His works are held in private collections in Europe and internationally, including the Contessa Chiara Modica Donà Delle Rose, Venice.
