"True Mornings, Never Real", Christophe Stibio
"True Mornings, Never Real" brings forward a new space of beauty and freedom while investigating further the Australian landscape as a starting point.
Christophe Stibio’s new body of works immerses us in the vaporous atmosphere of the early moments of the day, a transience where his profound observation exposes the infinite facets and realities of the land.
He masterfully deals with the truest paradox - capturing the ephemeral, while revealing the fleeting nuances of an inimitable nature.
As he builds up bridges between the invisibilities in nature and the mind of the viewer who perceives them as present, he shifts (like Nature’s endless changes) absence to presence. As a result, one’s mind is left free to take over and lead the way on its own, experiencing the true substance of the land as a living, commanding, yet fragile entity.
