Originally from Paris, Caroline developed a deep appreciation for art through long hours spent in museums. She moved to Perth with her family 20 years ago, where she discovered acrylic painting after first training in watercolour at a Parisian studio.
Her career as a painter began after being selected for the Salon des Refusés of the Black Swan Prize (now the Lester Prize), leading her to present her work in both solo and group exhibitions.
Caroline draws primary inspiration from colour—its vibrancy, energy, and the dynamic relationships created when colours sit alongside one another. One of her notable series explores Australian flowers and trees through expressive, organic brushstrokes, while other works are more abstract and graphic, featuring playful compositions and refined colour palettes. She is known for her use of bold hues, gold and metallic accents, and the interplay of organic shapes and patterns, creating paintings that radiate joy and energy.
A multidisciplinary artist, Caroline also engages audiences through art classes, artist talks and theatrical performances with the Perth French Theatre.
